Le Vide / The Void

Through darkness, the light we find shines brighter and we see in new ways. This was the idea behind this series, Le Vide. In my commercial work I use a lot of light, but during the workshop with Diana Lui I was drawn to using more shadow, to explore what appears when we have only little to illuminate. The experience of shooting in almost complete darkness was very enriching and even relaxing, I believe for the subjects, as well as, for myself.
I currently work as a portrait and lifestyle photographer and photo editor in Portland, Oregon.
